Lyndsey Porter
The Staffordshire Moorlands saw the development of many horse-drawn railway lines. These included the first line to be made into a legislative enactment. In the 1880's a line almost a mile long existed underground at the Ecton copper mine much of this is still intact. Hear all about these lines and more at Lindsey Porters talk on the 7th June at the Leek Loves Books festival.
