Duncan Bourne

Duncan Bourne is a Stoke-on-Trent born artist, writer and performer. Originally a cartoonist for the climbing magazine “On the Edge” his work has appeared in a diverse range of media from magazines such as “Punch”, “Prospect” and “Mini magazine” to illustrations for MacMillian Publishers, Marstons PLC and others. In 2004 he produced illustrations and poems for “The Owl and the Cragrat”, an anthology of climbing poetry. More recently he produced a CD of his own songs “Riot, mayhem and disorder”, which highlight little known aspects of local history, celebrating the comings and goings of the Potteries, Staffordshire and beyond, with old tales and the experience of growing up in its mix of industry and countryside.

“A Dark Heart” is his first novel.

In his spare time he plays banjo. You have been warned.
